Themis
is proudly South African and was established by the need to make legal services
accessible and affordable to all. It is our
mission to reach as many people as possible and empower them with the tools and
knowledge needed for their legal troubles. In a day and age where we are faced
with a litany of rising costs, litigation should not be one of them. Law historically has been for the wealthy and
the disparity has created an inequality in the services available. Themis is an
alternative legal service provider that aims to bridge the gap and bring
quality legal services to those in need at affordable prices.
Dignity
Our team of legal experts are able to assist those most in need
and provide quality solutions and advice making access to legal solutions
convenient and affordable. As an alternative legal services provider we offer
sound and comprehensive legal advice and can draft legal and other documents.
We work in association with attorneys around the country and can cater to any
and all legal needs.
Equality
Middle to low income earners, sole proprietors and small businesses all have the same needs but do not have the same access to legal services. Our services are offered on an hourly basis, with no subscription fees or hidden cost, at rates catered to the financially strapped.

Our Team
Our Founder
Advocate Tosh Naidoo
Tosh has been driven by the need to be of service to those around her for all of her career. She decided to pursue law as a career from a very young age after having heard the story of her grandfather and his pass.
Tosh studied at the University of the Witwatersrand and graduated in 2006, she was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court in 2007 and practiced at the Johannesburg Bar until 2011. After leaving the Johannesburg Bar she explored various different endeavors including radio, TV, print media and business, and lived in New York for sometime where she interned for an NGO raising money for villages in Haiti.
Tosh has appeared in various courts including the Constitutional Court, High Court, Magistrates Court and Central Divorce Court, and has been the chair of disciplinary hearings. She is adept at various areas of law but her interest lie specifically in socio-economic rights, gender equality and the promotion and protection of small businesses in South Africa.
Our Partner
Deshivan Shunmugam
Deshivan is based in Durban and completed his degree at the University of the Free State. He has partially served his articles at Samuels and Company Attorneys and Conveyancers. He has a diversified set of interests and has completed a post graduate degree in financial planning and is a contributing writer to Urban Writers.
Deshivan is young, energetic and in touch with the needs of his generation. He is committed to growing in his profession in a meaningful way that gives back to the community.
